Plastic is littering our planet, especially our waterways. What floats there won't disappear overnight. It takes up to 500 years for plastic to decompose. What's particularly critical is that single-use plastic, such as cling film, isn't even reusable.
Beeswax wraps, however, are different. They are made from natural and biodegradable components. Both the material and the coating pose no threat to our environment. Their reusability, in particular, makes them a valuable alternative to plastic or aluminum foil. At the same time, the natural antibacterial properties of beeswax are used to keep food fresher longer.
Long, round, small & large loaves of bread, ciabattas & baguettes or the forgotten giant zucchini from the raised bed.
Little Bee Fresh wipes are lovingly handcrafted in a factory on Lake Constance. Our beeswax wipes do not release any odor or taste.
If you keep a few things in mind when using them, you'll enjoy your beeswax wraps for a very long time. With proper care, your beeswax wrap will last you up to a year:
1. Wrap or cover
You can wrap vegetables, fruit, bread, and much more in the cloth. Choose a size that allows you to easily press the ends together. The warmth of your hands will make the cloth flexible and stick to itself or to bowls.
2. Clean
After use, you can wash your cloth with cold water and (if necessary) a little mild dish soap. Then hang it up to dry.
3. Reuse
Once your cloth is dry, you can reuse it for up to a year! If your oilcloth is damaged, you can even repair it with repair wax.
Clean your organic beeswax wraps with dish soap (preferably alcohol-free) and cold water. Then let them dry and store them in the packaging or in a kitchen drawer until next use.
