The nature of water
Original texts, edited and commented by Jörg Schauberger
Viktor Schauberger, Jörg Schauberger
There is hardly a book on the subject of water that does not quote the legendary water researcher Viktor Schauberger (1885-1958). His own writings, however, are still only available in fragments. This book fills this gap. From Viktor Schauberger's numerous essays, articles, and letters, the most important texts on the subject of water have been selected; they are reproduced faithfully and accompanied by commentary. Organized thematically, the experiences and insights of the visionary nature observer are revealed. In his powerful writings, he develops a completely new view of the primordial substance water, thus laying the foundation for modern water research—not least through his groundbreaking investigations into very practical aspects such as soil composition and water quality, the influence of temperature on water flow, equipment and water revitalization, and the conversion of seawater into freshwater. Ultimately, however, it is about perceiving water again as what it is for us humans, nature and the entire planet Earth: the origin of all life and the basis of our existence.
1885–1958, forester, brilliant inventor, explorer, and observer of nature. As a pioneer of water research, he greatly influenced subsequent generations of researchers. He conducted groundbreaking research on soil composition and water quality, studied the influence of temperature on water flow, and invented the first devices for water revitalization and for converting seawater into freshwater. He wrote numerous articles for professional journals. His son, Walter Schauberger, continued his research.
Born in 1954, grandson of Viktor Schauberger. Studied mathematics in Graz. Until 1999, he worked as a radio reporter and presenter for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). Today, he is the director of the Pythagoras Kepler School (PKS) in Bad Ischl in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut region, founded by his father. He is dedicated to disseminating the findings of Viktor and Walter Schauberger through seminars, lectures, and publications.
