    Shiitake mushrooms (Lentinula edodes) are the world's most popular edible mushroom after button mushrooms. They are used primarily in East Asian cuisine. Shiitake has a savory flavor and is rich in vitamins and minerals. Shiitake has also been traditionally used for other health purposes.
