Vitamin K2 exists in various forms, each with varying levels of effectiveness. Vitamin K2 MK7 is considered by far the most effective form of K2. However, significant differences exist even between different vitamin K2 MK7 active ingredients, as the vitamin molecule exists in different chemical arrangements—the so-called cis and trans isomers of vitamin K2. It is believed that only the trans form can be utilized by the body.
