When you purchase a Saltwater Angel Fish bracelet, 4ocean and its volunteers remove 2.3 kg of trash from the oceans and coastlines worldwide. You also help raise awareness for these majestic animals, to which this special bracelet is dedicated: Saltwater Angel Fish is the English name for the family of angelfish, which are among the most colorful animals on Earth. The 85 species worldwide live in all the world's oceans, always near coral reefs, which are naturally just as threatened by pollution as the fish themselves.

How does 4ocean work?

4ocean volunteers collect plastic waste from the beach or fish it out of the water with nets. Where possible, the plastic waste is recycled on-site. The rest is taken to waste disposal facilities. 4ocean now operates in 16 countries and employs 150 people, including volunteers and many fishermen. The organization has also launched its own educational program to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic in the ocean. With each new bracelet, in addition to funding its own work, the organization also supports another environmental project!

4ocean founders Andrew Cooper and Alex Schulze came up with the idea when they were shocked to see how much plastic was floating in the ocean during a vacation in Bali. In just three years, the volunteers have already collected 5,000 tons – and more tons are being added every day...
