The Carbonit Monoblock IFP 4.5-9 KDF consists of a sintered activated carbon block (fineness 1.5 micrometers) and a KDF 55 filling for effective metal reduction. The water flows first through the block filter and then through the KDF granules. This combination enables an acceptable water flow rate (approx. 1.5 l/min). The outer activated carbon block with a fineness of 1.5 µm ensures the adsorption of organic pollutants dissolved in the water and the filtration of particles, while the KDF 55 located in the center of the activated carbon serves to additionally remove heavy metals, even under high loads.

Notes

The filter cartridge must be replaced after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). In principle, 5,000 liters of water may be filtered during this time. However, an earlier replacement may be necessary if the water flow is noticeably reduced. This usually indicates an increased presence of fine particles in the unfiltered water.

For technical reasons, use is only permitted with cold water and must be protected from frost.

With each filter change, the flat seals of the cartridges (included in the replacement cartridge package) are replaced. This ensures perfect sealing and functionality at all times.
